This is a guide to accommodation on the Way of the Roses.
The Crown Hotel is at 239 Marine Road Central, Morecambe.
They support the Way of the Roses cycle route, and have a dedicated page on their website. They say that they have secure cycle storage, and can accommodate small or large groups.
The Royal Hotel has comfortable en-suite rooms with double bed and TV. They are decorated in a swish, modern style, and some have a sea view.
Downstairs is the Royal Bar & Shaker, a seafront pub with food and live music.
The Royal supports the Way of the Roses and says:
'We have unlimited secure storage for cycles, small or large groups can be accommodated in comfort'.
The Midland is perhaps the most prestigious hotel in Morecambe. It's a railway hotel that opened in 1933, but it was refurbished in the early 2000s.
It's in the Streamline Moderne variant of the Art Deco style, and it's right on the Promenade.
The hotel says:
'We have secure bike storage for guests - please ask a member of staff when checking in and they will be able to assist you'.
Morecambe Rooms are at 7a Euston Road. Check-in is at the Royal Hotel, which is linked accommodation.
This is accommodation at competitive rates. There is a single room, four double rooms, two 2-bedroom apartments, and a 3-bedroom apartment.
They offer secure cycle storage for Way of the Roses cyclists.
The Travelodge in Morecambe is at the Arndale Centre, 57 Euston Road.
People find it clean and comfortable, but some comment that it can be hot in summer, and it can be noisy outside the hotel.
Cycle storage is not mentioned on the Travelodge website.
The Clarendon Hotel Morecambe is at 74-6 Marine Road West. It offers views of the Promenade and Morecambe Bay.
There are 29 en-suite rooms.
Sunnyside Camping is on the edge of Morecambe, but within a very short cycle ride of the start of the Way of the Roses.
'Great little campsite, small and compact within easy reach of the seafront. Lovely clean facilities and very friendly staff' - Google review.
You may wish to stay in Lancaster instead of Morecambe at the start of the Way of the Roses. Lancaster to Morecambe would add about 3 miles to day one.
The Sun Hotel is in a central location in Lancaster, on Sun Street.
It is an award-winning 4-start boutique hotel with cosy doubles, classic doubles, luxury doubles, a luxury twin/triple room, and a suite which claims to be the finest room in Lancaster.
The prices are pretty reasonable.
The Royal is on Thurnham Street and has 14 hotel rooms.

The Station Guest House, Lancaster, is at 25 Meeting House Lane. It is popular with Google reviewers:
'We stayed one night and really enjoyed it. Across the road from the train station...really quiet, no noise, very close to town centre. Big, spacious rooms'.

Go2 Lancaster Centre Hotel by OYO is at 6 Spring Garden Street, which is just off King Street, south city centre.
Mixed reviews - some people suggest it has seen better days and the rooms can be hot in summer.
Settle is about 35 miles into the ride, and would make a good overnight stop after a short first day.
